7 Types of FusionPages
Classrooms are just one type of FusionPage. FusionPages can also be created for Student Activities/Clubs, Athletics, Departments, Community, Alumni and Faculty/Staff. As users become members of a FusionPage they are automatically given a unique calendar and access to Web 2.0 tools. Imagine how powerful an Alumni blog about the next class reunion would be, or having a private School Board blog discussing important school issues or having PTA members collaborate with one another between meetings. These pages make for an unlimited amount of communication possibilities.
FusionPage Analytics
Yes, that’s correct…analytics. Our proprietary system tracks all Classroom/FusionPage visits, blog comments and more. These results excite the teachers to blog more and continue to engage the students.
Functionality that Reaches Beyond the Classroom Door
These Classroom FusionPages have been designed and created with the K-12 teacher in mind, where ease of use is paramount. Functionalities include but are not limited to: Announcements, classroom-specific calendars, inline editing with a WYSIWYG interface, the ability to upload files including media rich formats, classroom pertinent links, blogs, podcasts, streaming video, wikis, CIPA compliant messaging and slideshows. With SchoolFusion, classroom pages become the central place where students discuss classroom topics in and out of school.
On/Off Features
SchoolFusion provides the ability for teachers to drag and drop, and turn features on and off, acording to their preferences. Teachers can activate or deactivate the components in the classroom page that they need to use at any given time. The user will only see what the teacher has activated in the classroom web page. Items can easily be reactivated at any time.
Online, Timed and Auto-Graded Quizzes
The quiz feature allows teachers to create interactive timed quizzes for students to complete online. An unlimited number of questions can be created and organized by category, chapter or subject. Student results are conveniently stored for the teacher.
No More Double Entry & Content Import
Many teachers teach more than one period or section within the same category. No problem. SchoolFusion enables a teacher to apply one discussion to any of the classes they teach. Additionally, SchoolFusion gives teachers the ability to rollover or import content from one classroom to another. These are two very unique features amongst K-12 classroom solutions.
Homework Drop Box
Each classroom site has a section related to homework assignments. In this section assignments are listed with due dates. For each assignment, teachers may choose to allow students to submit their homework online. Assignments are automatically archived after the due date.
Unlimited File Storage
Teachers can keep as many files as they would like for future use within their own personal file storage locker.
One Click Email Functions
With SchoolFusion, classroom sites can be customized to include any information that is desired. Within the site, parents and students can message the teacher with one click and teachers have the ability to message individual members or the entire class.
